Rescued a Rabbit (I hope!)

You know those long black tubes they put on the end of rain spouts to make the water go away from the house?  I found a bunny rabbit trapped in one.  There was a small hole in the wall of the tube and the bunny had tried to go out through it.  It only got its head and one front paw though.  The poor thing was squirming, but to no avail.  It was stuck!

I got my trusty pocket knife and cut the pipe around where the hole was.  The bunny was terrified, and I was a bit afraid it would bite or scratch me in a moment of panic.  I succeeded in cutting the pipe off where the hole was and then I carefully freed the front paw.  Now the bunny could just go right out the new open end.  Of course, it did not do that, but instead skittered further backwards away from the open end.  It was probably just afraid to emerge when I was right there.  Hopefully, the bunny came out later after I was gone.  I was worried that it was injured, but I had done all that I could.

When I came home from visiting my nephew, I saw a bunny out in the yard.  It was dark and I can't be certain it was the same bunny from the pipe.  I like to believe it was.  I shined a flashlight down the pipe and couldn't see anything in there, so maybe I did rescue the rabbit...
