I didn't feel like sitting home alone handing out candy, plus I had a cute costume and nowhere to wear it, so I met a friend downtown to sit at a bar and watch the kids in their costumes. The downtown Lawrence businesses stay open so the kids have a safe place to trick-or-treat.

We were close enough to the action to be hit 3 times. The girls were mostly stopped by the time they got to us. Record crowd! I blame the movie Whip It!
