We read in the Tokyo hotel guide that a dance festival was going on. We headed to the local shrine to check it out. I found out this is a pretty big deal in the part of Japan where the dance originates. (I should have written the name of the place- and the dance- down). Anyway, it has been known to go on for three days. As you can see, it is not that strenuous, it reminds me of a Japanese Macarena.
So the adventure begins with a lost suitcase. My friend's carefully packed, huge suitcase failed to appear on the conveyor belt upon our arrival. First try at the Japanese phrasebook. "My bag has been lost." They could not find it in the computer, but said more flights were coming in the next day.
