Bulbs

My mom bought me 100 bulbs which she gave me on Sunday.  It's called The Glory of Spring Mix.  I looked up each flower.  They will be glorious.  I think I will be very happy to see them peeking up through the soil and possibly through the snow this spring. 

My mom is 70 years old and has been notoriously forgetful.  I can't believe she remembered a conversation we had when I told her I was interested in planting bulbs.  100 bulbs?  Woah!  I don't even really know how to plant bulbs.  Sounds like a lot of hard work.  I think I need a bulb-planting tool.  Yay!  Another trip to the hardware store.  I love going to the hardware store.  It is a true rite of home ownership.

I got Glory of Snow, Allium mix, Anemone Blanda mix, Crocus, and Puschkinia. I had to look them up since the only ones I had heard of were Crocuses. They seem to be shades of reds and pinks. The Crocuses could be any color, and the puschkinia I think will be white. If only I can think of a place to plant them! Are you familiar with any of these?

I don't know anything about gardening, sorry! I know the first one as Snow Glory, though. Must be a regional thing. I like Allium because they look like aliens. =D
