Best Day Ever

Yesterday was the end of the first quarter at school.  It goes so fast, I can hardly believe it.  The amount of time I have been back at school is now equal to the amount of time I had for summer break.  Woah!  

The students are still doing remarkably well.  I think I lucked out and was dealt the good ones this year.  It happens occasionally.  I am still feeling pretty content about my job.  Funny that I am suspicious of happiness.  I know it is a fleeting feeling.  I wonder if this is as good as it will ever get.  Probably is.  While that's not necessarily a bad thing, I wonder how long it will last and what may be in store for me down the road...

Today is a teacher work day.  We have the entire day dedicated to getting our grades ready.  No students, and best of all, no meetings!  That's why I call it Best Day Ever.  We even get to go out for lunch if we want.  I want!  I want!  I can wear whatever I want, too, because I am not going to be interacting with the public.  I had better go and finish getting ready, but I had to share.
