Seepage

I believe it was John Lennon who said, "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."  Today was one of those days.

My plan:  Work out with my fitness ball and spend a quiet evening reading on my couch, possibly napping like I did last night.

What really happened:  My carpet in my dining room was soaked due to some drain clogging issue.  I watched the maintenance man half-assedly wet-vac the carpet and bring in one of those high-powered industrial fans to help it dry.  I have spent the evening so far cleaning out my dining room, making multiple trips upstairs with items I want to keep and to the dumpster for everything else.  

The silver lining:  I get my dining room carpet professionally cleaned on Friday.  This is great news!  I had a very old cat with bladder issues use that area for months and it has really needed a cleaning.  My dining room is cleaner than it has been in years as I cleared it out to get ready for them.  It is amazing how un-sentimental a person can get deciding what to salvage and what is not worth the trouble.  I do like the fact that I finally got the motivation to clean up that space!  

I still have time to relax and read, but the fan is so loud!!
