Tiny wonders of nature
Aug. 19th, 2007 09:42 pmI have what I discovered is a Grass Spider living in my windowsill in the living room. There is a web with a tunnel in it where the spider hides and waits for prey. I leave it be. The tunnel is really cool.
I watched an Orb Weaver outside work on a web in the dark. It's pretty windy and the web won't last, but a spider's gotta eat.
There was a black, green, white, and yellow caterpillar munching on a leaf in the bushes. I found out it is a Monarch caterpillar. It was a beautiful little creature, every bit as impressive as the adult butterfly.
A tiny bug flew into my eye and hurt like hell.
This has been my day with tiny wonders of nature.
