The third try with the dentist putting on my permanent crown was a success!!

I now can't really tell the difference between it and the rest of my teeth, except on the inside where the crown stops and my tooth starts.  Is that normal?  I loathe the idea of going back to the dentist for what would be the 6th time since I first felt the sensitivity...

I put the crown through its paces today chewing gum, eating Milk Duds, and flossing.  I now want to eat some beef jerky or some other chewy cut of beef!  I bought Rolos to share with my teacher friends in my department and some of my students.  Celebrate dentistry with sticky candy!  They will love me in the future for this!

I have never had a crown put on, so I don't know if it's normal or not to feel the edge. If so, you'll get used to it over time, and if not, I commiserate with you not wanting to go back to the dentist.

If I had anything ridiculously sticky in the house, I'd eat it in your honor! I do have granola bars, which are moderately sticky. :)

I had to avoid granola bars while I had the plastic temporary crown, so they will do!

Awesome! Congratulations. This must be such a relief.
