You know that thing that happens while we are busy making other plans? Yeah, life.

Right now there is a plumber in my kitchen snaking the devil out of the pipes underneath. Both my sink AND my next-door neighbor's sink are clogged. He said one of us must have misused the garbage disposal, but how could we have wedged a full-sized demon down in the pipes? At any rate, that's what is going on now while I would prefer to be biking or buying camping food.

What is some good camping food that I can cook in my little saucepan and skillet?

Let's ponder that last question, shall we?

Good. Camping. Food. Three words that, IMO, really can't be used together. Unless you're saying something like "There is no such thing as good camping food."

=D

Good camping food?

You are so right! There is no such thing as...

However, when I was 5 years old my family lived in a VW camper van for about 6 months camping all over Europe with my 4-year-old brother and 2 cats. Anyway, I thought we were camping. We may have been homeless...

We used to eat canned veggies and beef stroganoff cooked on a Coleman stove (add hot water and serve). For some reason, that stuff is comfort food to me. I never eat it unless I am camping.

OK, I must admit. I once camped for a long weekend in a VW camper van and I thought it was kind of charming. This is when I was a vendor out at what used to be Heartland Pagan Festival. I don't know that I'd ever do it again, but it wasn't too awful.
