The First Novel (not done, but done for now!)

I have decided that I am more proud than ashamed of my novel.

I am going tomorrow to buy some (recycled) paper so I can print it off. Some lucky friends get to read it. It is pretty short right now, so it shouldn't take much effort. I am at a place where I am not sure how to proceed. I think some outside feedback would be helpful.

I wish you somee serious good luck on that one. Hopefully your friends are better at this than Mine... and it probably helps to have them actually like whatever category your novel falls into.

Send it out to publishers. And then forget about it. As quick as you can. There are lots of places to find publisher names. Or better yet, send it to book agents. Compare the genre of your book with those of already published authors, then find out who their agents are.

Seriously. Send it out and then pretend you didn't. You may be terribly surprised by what happens next.
