School Starts Tomorrow

This is a lovely Sunday that I would love to spend outside riding my bike, walking or even rollerblading. Unfortunately, this is also my last chance to get the house REALLY clean while I still have the energy to clean it. During the school year I tend to rotate the cleaning tasks one at a time until all is eventually clean and it is time to start over.
I no longer have to plan my weekend around a trip to the laundromat, which is awesome! I do need to work on lesson plans for this week. They are only conceptual right now. I know what I want to cover, but not exactly how. I should work on that today, too. If I procrastinate further, which is always a possibility, I could still do the planning tomorrow. It is the first day of school, but only for Freshmen. We have a big Freshman orientation with activities for them that I do not have to attend. They will go through their schedules and each class will meet for only 5 minutes. This is to help them find the rooms and see what their teachers look like so they will know they are in the right place Tuesday. East is a really big, really spread out school. I can see how it would be very intimidating for Freshmen.
I love a fresh start every year. There's no telling what this school year may bring. I hopefully learned from some of last year's mistakes. I always try new things every year. Now that I am settled in the new school, I can focus more on improving the instruction.
