Visit From My Parents

That's right, my parents visited ME for the first time in over 10 years.  I don't mind going to see them.  It did stress me out a little having them over here.  They of course wanted to see my new house.  I gave them the tour of the rooms, the boxes, the yard and the gardens.  Did I mention the boxes?  I have run out of steam regarding the unpacking process.  I should really just suck it up, buy a dresser and be done with it!

They liked the place.  My dad said the lawn looked great.  My mom loved all of my kitchen cabinet space and drawers.  She even appreciated the Godzilla figure in my bathroom.   He's there to make sure everyone washes their hands...

My parents took me to Sears to get me a washer and dryer!  It will be delivered Wednesday!  My dad even threw in a 5-year service agreement on both appliances.  They have service plans for their appliances, too.   I can hardly wait until they get here!  I will meet the delivery guys with detergent in one hand and fabric softener sheets in the other!  

Hard to believe I am getting excited about laundry, but I am!  You may recall that being able to do my laundry at home was a major factor in getting my own house!  The washing machine is HUGE!  I will totally be able to wash my comforters in it.  I feel so grown-up now, but in a good way...
