Instructions: Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.
(I actually spent a bit more time on this, but I don't like to buy books. Most of mine have come from libraries or friends. If I can't remember the author, I didn't bother to look it up.)
*Tipping the Velvet- Sarah Waters. Still probably my favorite book.
Far from Nowhere- (about a couple who biked around the world)
*Me- Katharine Hepburn. (This woman was in TOTAL control of her image)
*Jurassic Park- Michael Crichton
Girl With the Pearl Earring
Memoirs of a Geisha
*Forests of the Heart- Charles De Lint
*Gorillas in the Mist- Diane Fossey
*The Ship Who Sang- Anne McCaffrey
Raptor Red- Robert T. Bakker (Told from the dinosaur's point of view)
The Gate to Women's Country
*The Dead Zone- Stephen King
Rand-McNally Road Atlas - told ya
1984- George Orwell
The starred items represent those where I have read multiple titles by the same author or multiple books on the same subject. I seem to love autobiographies and memoirs (even fictional memoirs), as well as science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. OK, so that was only 14, but as I said, I don't own most of the books I have read.
