Five Days Off!!
Nov. 23rd, 2005 03:09 pmToday the temperatures got up to the sixties! That is much different than this time, last year when I had to dig my truck out of several inches of snow using a frisbee!
I couldn't wait to get out on my bike. (Note to self, 60 degrees is a bit too warm for jacket and tights). I barely made 6 miles, which made me sad. The wind kicked my butt, a steady NW 18mph with gusts. My lungs were burning from not being used to outdoor exertion. That sucks! I don't like having to use machines indoors for exercise during the winter. They are BORING and I feel like a rodent on a wheel.
I am having myself a Katharine Hepburn film festival this weekend, with movies I borrowed from the Johnson County Public Library. I am watching The Philadelphia Story, Summertime, and Bringing Up Baby (one of my mom's favorites, which I am bringing to Thanksgiving to try to keep my dad from turning on The History Channel, aka WarTV).
I am going to eat and drink some of my favorite things this weekend (besides the traditional turkey feast). I am having peanut butter and honey, mini M&M's, enchiladas, and beer. NO, not all together...
