Cool biking day
Jul. 27th, 2005 02:23 pmWow! Today was super-gorgeous. It was 76 degrees out (quite a change from the 100's last week) so I did the 20-mile bike ride to Eudora. I took a break at Kwik Shop and had an iced coffee (damn you,
shrijani, for getting me started on those!) I love hot coffee black, black, BLACK! Iced coffee only tastes good sweetened, preferably with something chocolate. It was a perfect substitute for the Sonic Cookie Dough Blast (evil) that was tempting me.
I am now buzzed on a mixture of caffeine and endorphins. I am also now even more convinced that my apparent weight gain this summer has been the result of increasing the largest muscles in the human body (quads, hammies, and glutes). Women's health and self-esteem should never be tied to a number on a scale, especially when it can change daily, or even hourly! I still wear the same size as ever, so there...
Wildlife experiences: Wrens (they have the most beautiful warbling song) and a Western Bluebird (they are all blue with no orange throat and belly). I don't know what the bluebird was doing so far from home. Maybe the mild weather fooled it.
