It's another snow day

When the rain changed over to silver-dollar sized flakes last night, I stopped by Jensen's on the way home from the gym. I like to drink cold beer when it snows. I like to have it already in case there is a snow day. It is a bit of beer-buying voodoo that seems to work for me. If I buy beer when it snows, I get a snow day. If I don't get a snow day, at least I have beer!
Some of the teachers were not that enthused about the prospect of a snow day. It seemed like extra work to re-plan the week. We have Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday night. It makes for a long (try 13-hour) day at school. However, on days off due to weather, I can't really complain about the job!
I am thrilled! I can be on the internet, read, watch movies, whatever I want. I went back to bed and slept an extra couple of hours, too.
philrancid, did you know there was a 4-track mixer that lets you record your music directly onto an iPod? (Costs about $200)
ETA: I am not posting this to gloat, but rather to document this very special gift I have received during this very difficult time of the school year. I really have a difficult job, which I chose, so I am not complaining about that part. These days are gifts and they remind me of how valuable each moment we are given can be. When evenings are full of workouts and weekends are for errands, it is easy to lose sight of that.
