Moved In (almost)

The move went well. I felt bad for the movers working so hard and doing all that heavy lifting while I just basically wandered around, tried to look busy, and answered questions about where things went. Then again, I paid good money for them to do all the hard work. I shouldn't feel bad... Yet I still do, a little.
I got the guys to deposit my ancient sofa-sleeper, dresser, and entertainment center by the dumpster instead of on the truck. I was pleased to find out that only a couple hours later they had been adopted! That makes me feel good. Nothing wrong with the entertainment center, it was just cheap and too big. The dresser had a broken drawer and was just ugly. The couch, well, I didn't think even charities would take it. After almost 25 years of use, it was done!
I am now sitting on the floor at the old place. I came back for my food, booze, and other items the movers wouldn't handle. Plus, I still have internet here until tomorrow. An evening with no cable and no internet. I might just have to read a book! Not like there isn't plenty to do. I still must unpack... Then I must buy new furniture! Oh yeah, and lawn stuff. I'll get there.
I really love, LOVE the new place. I had a great moment on my patio sitting in the shade listening to the quiet neighborhood.
