Risk

So I went for it.  I searched online and found 3 town homes that seemed to suit me.  I want my own washer and dryer, damnit!  I made some calls and did some drive-bys.  The place I like best has washer/dryer hookups, a GARAGE, and is on the eastern edge of town just off K-10.  This will be sooooo easy for my commute!

The only catch is, they don't know if any units will be available this August.  I can put myself on a short waiting list, and the manager thinks I might be able to get a place.  It's just that the current tenants don't have to notify that they are leaving until next month.  If I don't renew my lease here by next month, I could lose my current apartment.

So it's a risk.  I could lose my place, and the town home I want and maybe have to move somewhere crappier next year.  The truth is, it isn't really all that bad here.  Not worth the hassle of having to move to somewhere that could be worse.  I suspect I could get this place back next year, but I would have to pay more for it if I let the renewal period pass.

This post is probably all disjointed, but so are my thoughts.  I should know by now that if I set my mind to something, focus my intention and really mean it, I will get it.  I got my current position at the best school district in the state that way.  I got to go to Japan twice.  I had my adventures in Ecuador and the Galápagos.  This is only a town home.  Once I direct my attention towards it, there is no reason it shouldn't be mine!
