Got My Chocolate Cake
Jun. 23rd, 2009 09:22 pmSomeone suggested I try Aimee's Coffee Shop for a slice of chocolate cake. They had one in the case. It had 4 layers with a light brown whipped frosting. I asked about it. The manager there couldn't tell me. He said it was a sample from the bakery and he hadn't tried it. Then he said I could have it for free if I told him how it was. Well...
It was moist and chocolaty, but not too dense. The frosting was moussey, mostly air, and not too sweet. All in all, it was a good cake that wouldn't kill you with its sweetness. I suggested that the four layers might be intimidating to some. He said he also had a chocolate mocha cake (now he tells me?). I recommended that he stick with that.
So I finally got my chocolate cake (though not from my apartment complex). I didn't even have to play the birthday card!
