Pet-sitting is over
Dec. 29th, 2005 09:18 pmI took
shrijani's dog back home today. I am a little sad that I won't have her anymore. Tiri was great company!
It reminds me of a time when I was 9 years old and we were the foster family for a little black kitten. The teenager couldn't have the kitten at the halfway house, so we kept the kitten for a month. My brother and I took turns sleeping with her listening to her LOUD kitten purr. Her name was Kilo (which makes the adult me think our teenager was busted for a drug offense). My parents kept warning us not to get attached, but when the month was up we both secretly believed we would get to keep the kitty. We did have to give her back and we cried. I had never heard of being a foster family for a pet, but if anyone would do it, my parents would.
