First day of doggie day camp

I picked up shrijani to take her to the airport at 4:30 AM. Upon my return, I went straight back to her house (it was closer) and crashed out with her dog until 11:00 or so. (I knew I shouldn't have stayed up until midnight the night before!) I got up, let the doggie out, and fed her before going back to my own home. I baked some banana nut bread, and promptly fell back asleep.

I rode my bike to the Community Building and worked out at the Community Center weight room. Our local taxes pay for it, and while the equipment isn't as fancy or well-maintained as a real gym, you can't beat a free place to work out.

I brought the dog back to my place for a sleepover. She is sad that her "mommy" has gone away, so I thought it would help her to be with at least her "auntie." She is a bit afraid of my cats, which is silly. They are both old, and while they are a bit miffed at the presence of a dog, they don't care enough to do anything about it. Tiri is smart enough to stay away from them.

So we had vegetarian enchiladas and watched Wonder Woman on dvd. Well, I had the enchiladas. I don't know what's gotten into me actually cooking this week!

Depending how the sleepover goes, I may do it again. Also this week I plan to walk Tiri down Mass Street (she's a people magnet) and maybe take her to the doggie park if it isn't too hot. Black dogs hate the heat!
