Warm day in February?
Feb. 3rd, 2005 09:49 pmI took my new road bike and rode it around some. It is faster than the mountain bike, I would kick my ass if I were on my road bike racing myself on my mountain bike. Now if that were possible, it would be cool to see!
I smelled that burning smell in the night air tonight. I haven't noticed it since I was a child. Homeowners used to be able to burn leaves every autumn and the air would be filled with that sweet burning leaf aroma. Now that is no longer allowed within city limits. I hope I was not smelling someone's house on fire.
My ride was light, about 6 miles. I am still breaking in the bike. It needs some minor adjustments, but the store that sold me the bike will be more than happy to do them for me. I am hoping for a few more mild days in a row. February can be hard to handle sometimes, especially in Kansas.
