Keeping Busy (in a different way)

Friday night I went to a double feature of El Santo. El Santo was a Mexican masked wrestler who starred in many movies in which he fought evil-doers with his special wrestling skills. Awesome!
Saturday night I got to ride in
shrijani 's sweet luxury vehicle to Roller Derby. It was fun, but after eagerly anticipating it for a month, I have to say the performance was a little lackluster... Hopefully July's bout of the KC Roller Warrior All-Stars vs. Baltimore will be more exciting!
Today I taught my aikido class and did laundry, all while planning my Mexico adventure. I am planning a trip to places in Mexico most people have never heard of: San Cristóbal de las Casas, and then the exquisite Mayan ruins of Palenque. Along the way I am going to a coffee plantation, a bike tour (can't avoid those), and an amber museum where you can buy real insects trapped in amber, just like Jurassic Park! It will be scary, a woman travelling alone off the beaten path in Mexico. I think I can pull this off in one week rather inexpensively. I only hope the hotels still have openings. The trip will be in July, a week after G-fest.
Now tomorrow I have my cholersterol test. It's no big deal, except that I can't put anything but water in my body for 12 hours. I plan to be asleep for most of those 12 hours. But, how to get to the doctor's without coffee?!?
For some reason I have been avoiding my bike. I seriously need to get back into riding shape. I was supposed to go Friday, Saturday, or today, but I have avoided it. Why? I will blame it on the post-school year fatigue and the emotional drain of saying good-bye to a place and coworkers I came to love...
