Spring Break 2011
Mar. 12th, 2011 12:12 amNo lofty plans this time around. I just plan to do some shopping for shoes, clothes, and stuff for the house. I also plan to do spring cleaning and clear the flowerbeds for the arrival of the spring bulbs. Maybe I'll work out some and try to ride my bike. To that end, I would like to buy a good multi-purpose bike that I won't be afraid to leave parked outside (with a lock, of course) while I go into stores, coffee shops, or bars. I think I would like one with a basket...
This will be a week for all the stuff I never seem to get around to while I am teaching full-time. I began the break with a 4-hour nap on my recliner. Oh, how l LOVE my recliner! Best purchase I made besides my TV and Blu-ray player. I intend to enjoy that, too, watching some movies this week.
There is a recall on my car. I need to take it into the dealer so they can fix it. Probably it's some tiny spring that they need to replace or I may stall and crash at some inopportune moment. Ah well, good thing I will have the time to do it.
Things can change in a year. Spring Break 2010 I spent looking for a new place to rent that had a washer/dryer hookup. That evolved into buying my own home. OK, so it's half a house, but it is all mine! It's a perfect size for just me. I can have guests stay over. I have a single-car garage and a nice lawn. The place will be getting some serious TLC now that I have some time off to do it.
