A salute to substitute teachers
Feb. 15th, 2005 08:59 pmHow lucky am I to have a job where they pay me to stay home when I am sick and pay someone else to go in and do my job for me? Thank-you substitute teachers! Even though we seem not to appreciate you too much, you are doing a difficult job. Being me for a day. Believe me, I know it is difficult!
Cost of flu shot= $20
Cost of 2-3 days of subs= a lot more than that!
The district should have given us access to the flu shots this year. Some say they are worthless, but I took the shot for 6-7 years and never got the flu. I heard on the news that children are the greatest carriers of the virus and who do I see every day while they are coughing and sneezing my way? HELLO?!?
