Pamelonian's Kitchen- High-Risk Area
Feb. 10th, 2005 08:21 pmI have been cooking most of my meals for the past year or so. If you knew me well, you would be surprised to hear that because I hadn't cooked really from around 1998-2003 or so. I just didn't feel like it. I liked to proclaim that I had no indredients in my kitchen. "Not even sugar?" Nope, that's an ingredient. "What about..." No, that's also an ingredient.
When I cook I mainly prepare vegetarian dishes. Handling raw meat grosses me out and raw poultry is even worse. I get a special kind of heebie-jeebies from raw, dead birds. Raw seafood, that's OK, but usually expensive and if I am going to make the investment I will enjoy it better at a restaurant.
I guess I got tired of all the frozen meals and things you could make into a sandwich, wrap, or salad. I invented the wrap sandwich myself around 1996 or so. I wanted to be able to play at the computer and still eat a salad. I would imagine that many others invented the wrap along with me, but none of us fools ever patented it.
I am not a vegetarian, but don't make me kill or touch the meat...
Tonight's culinary adventure was pineapple-shrimp stir fry over whatever rice was left after I dropped the pan on the floor! That must be my new "low-carb" solution!
