Holiday Eve

I have shrijani.'s dog at my place for the weekend. She seems to be OK here, though she still sticks by my side. I am bringing her to my parents' for our holiday dinner and gift exchange. We moved the holiday to Christmas Eve to accomodate my brother, Tammy, and my nephew. It was difficult for them to visit both sets of parents on Thanksgiving, so they are visiting our family on Christmas Eve and hers on Christmas Day.

I will be totally alone on Christmas Day tomorrow for the first time in my life. Lawrence empties out and everything closes. (Note to self- Stock up on alcohol today!) It looks like we get rain this weekend. What kind of messed-up weather is that?

The dog is good company, so I will not feel totally alone. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

You are so right! The dog treated me better than the people today. I never should have thought I wanted to interact with humans.

I remember last year on christmas wallgreens was open, basically like the only store open on christmas. I bet they make a lot of money.

I used to work at Kwik Shop (a moonlighting job). They would pay double time to work on Xmas. I used to ask for Thanksgiving off on purpose so I would be "forced" to work on Xmas for double pay!
