Unintended Sleep Marathon
May. 9th, 2009 09:06 amI was getting ready to go out last night around 9:30 or 10:00, but then I saw my bed. I flopped down on it and slept until 8:00 this morning. I could go right back to bed if I wanted. This must be my end-of-the-school-year fatigue setting in. I didn't even particularly feel exhausted until I was lying there unable to get up...
Not that I slept uninterrupted. I woke up to hear a text coming in asking where I was. I wasn't awake enough to respond. I also had weird, vivid dreams. I was attacked by a huge, rabid raccoon while driving my parents home from my brother's house. In another dream I scraped my new car against the concrete divider on an on-ramp. In another I was watching Eric Clapton performing a concert of acoustic covers. He did "Strutter," a classic KISS song. I had a dream about kids' aikido class and another about watching The Travel Channel and discussing it with my friend.
This was all without the aid of Ambien. Didn't need it last night!
