Icy, Cold, Shut-In Weekend
Dec. 9th, 2007 01:07 pmNow that I pretty much have decided not to drive today, I can think of all kinds of stupid errands I would like to run. The streets are OK but the parking lot here seems slick. None of my stupid errands are worth sliding my truck into a neighbor's car.
Actually, I wouldn't mind so much if the car I hit belonged to my neighbor who was having a party with LOUD hip hop going all hours of the night. It was that kind with the really annoying beat with groups of men shouting over it. I went over there at 12:30, knocked on the door and asked them to turn it down. They ignored me so I called the cops. They did turn it down then, only to resume about a half an hour later. By that time I was too tired from interrupted sleep to even pick the phone back up and call the cops again. From now on, these people don't even get a neighborly warning before I call the police.
My brother's Baby Momma called twice after I was in bed, the phone rings right by my head. I will have to do something about the location of that phone. I didn't pick up because I could barely speak. I don't know how I woke up at 8:00 this morning but somehow I did.
I adopted a second-hand love seat that turned out to be smelly in addition to ugly. It is now out by the dumpster. I am so sorry,
philrancid, for wasting your time going to get the thing. Some good may come out of it yet, as I have decided to buy a NEW (though cheap and crappy) love seat or chair from a cheap-ass furniture outlet. They may even deliver. I am not going to bother with decent furniture until I get my own house. Then I will have a decent TV that won't take up the whole living room and ample sofa space. I then can invite people over and we can fall asleep to our favorite movies in comfort. A gal can dream...
