Warm week in December

I love unseasonably warm days. They are a gift! Today I rode the bike 7 miles, and that was after I worked out at the gym. Biking outside was the best feeling. I had to force myself to do it today, and the first mile or two are always the toughest. I may have warm enough weather to go riding every day this vacation. I don't have to go back to teach until January 5th.

I felt so good I even did some housecleaning. Some of my teacher colleagues confided in me that they pay someone to clean their houses. Now I don't feel so bad. My place gets a good cleaning on winter break, spring break, and several over summer break. The rest of the time I get by with the bare minimum or when necessity prevents ignoring things any longer.

Tonight I am taking shrijani's dog to her house so she can play in her own yard while I take care of some chores over there. Then I am bringing her back to stay with me. This may also give my cats a chance to eat their own food!
