No sleep

I couldn't sleep last night because of people swimming after hours in the apartment pool. Finally, bleary-eyed and incoherent, I called the management and left a message. I started by saying, "It's 4:30 in the morning and..." I don't really remember, but I left my name and number if they want to discuss it later.

The late-night swimmers have kept me awake now two nights in a row. I decided not to drive to Louisburg for the bike ride because I was afraid to drive over an hour in my weary condition. I had been looking forward to this thing for weeks. I promised myself I would go riding today to try to make up for it, but it is just not the same.

So right now I am dosing on coffee getting ready to teach my aikido class. Once I get going things should improve.

I, too, have left angry messages for Katie regarding the pool! What prompted me to do it was when I walked by and saw some damn kids in there with a freaking grill cooking hot dogs, drinking beer out of GLASS bottles. They take over the pool and most of those a-holes don't even live here. I would love to go swimming in that pool at night (and I would be quiet) but there's always a skim of grease and hair on top of it. And who knows, there could be broken glass and hot dog parts on the floor.

Anyway, what I'm saying is, I got your back if you need a witness to the insanity of it all!

The major deterrent to my swimming is the skim of grease and hair. I will look in the pool and it is all cloudy. Ew!

Today an entire van load pulled in and unloaded to swim. None of them lived here and they were all quite scummy.

I saw the van load too. As far as I could tell, they were all very drunk. And they were not wearing swimming suits, they were wearing clothes. Someone has defaced the rules too. Have you seen that? I'm kind of glad I'm leaving because I'm tired of the damned pool idiots. There are lots of neighbors I will miss dearly, though (you, Scott, the cute couple with the cute daughter who loves Bill). And I'll miss Lester and Katie, and the other maintenance guys. But not the pool.
